These presentations are available for prostate cancer support groups, caregiver groups, cancer centers, and nonprofit organizations. Each program can be adjusted for the people attending and the concerns identified by the group leader.
The presentations combine lived caregiver experience, practical information, and opportunities for conversation. They do not provide medical advice or replace medical or mental health care.

This presentation follows a couple from diagnosis through treatment and recovery, with a focus on communication, coping, relationship changes, and finding support.
Practical Tools for Navigating Prostate Cancer Together
Best for newly diagnosed couples, caregivers, and groups wanting a hands-on program
A guided presentation that helps patients and partners organize information, prepare for appointments, compare treatment questions, divide responsibilities, and build support around the couple.
How Presentations Work
Presentations are generally 30 to 45 minutes, followed by discussion or questions. Virtual presentations are available for groups in any location. In-person presentations may be available in the Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington area.
The program can be adjusted for the audience and the concerns identified by the group leader.
Each presentation includes reader-facing participant notes and links to free Caregiver Education Center resources.
There is no charge for nonprofit prostate cancer support groups.
About Debra
Debra Othman is an author, speaker, and caregiver advocate. After her husband, Nasser, was diagnosed with prostate cancer, she began creating the practical information and caregiver support she wished they had received at the beginning, during and after treatment.
Debra draws on her family’s experience and more than 40 years in public service and healthcare leadership. She lives in southwest Washington and created The Caregiver Education Center at debraothman.com.
